Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated ESE (Exceptional Student Education) Specialist/Support Facilitator to join our team and champion inclusive learning environments. Duties
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with federal and state special education laws to meet each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to design and adapt lesson plans that incorporate instructional modifications and accommodations.
- Provide direct support to students with disabilities across various settings, including early childhood, preschool, and elementary classrooms.
- Utilize educational technology tools and learning software to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Conduct assessments related to speech therapy, literacy, math, behavioral health, and other areas to monitor progress and inform instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies tailored for students with special needs.
- Facilitate communication between educators and families to ensure transparency about student progress, challenges, and successes.
Skills
- Must hold a valid Florida Teaching Certificate and be willing to sign an Out-of-Field Waiver, as required.
- Technologically savvy; proficient with Zoom, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong reading comprehension, deductive reasoning, and independent learning/concept-review skills.
- Highly adaptable, flexible, aware, and responsive in a fast-paced school environment.
- Ability to understand, follow, implement, and execute detailed written, verbal, and visual directions accurately.
- Ability to maintain and regularly update student service schedules.
