Position Overview:
As our Lead Service Tech, you will play a pivotal role in providing our client base with quality service solutions for residential and light commercial air conditioning systems. This role is perfect for a motivated professional who has a desire to provide our community with excellent HVAC services and deliver tailored solutions that enhance their comfort and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and refrigeration problems with air conditioning and heating systems with minimal assistance.
- Layout, design, and install low voltage wiring.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and possibly repair air flow problems.
- Perform maintenance and precision tune-ups on air conditioning and heating systems.
- Correctly charge equipment based on super heat, sub cool, and refrigerant charging charts.
- Sell system components needed by customers to improve the operation and efficiency of equipment.
- Sell and explain the benefits of maintenance contracts to customers.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications.
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Establish rapport with customers through active listening and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- HVAC experience in maintenance and/or service including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and correcting diverse HVAC system issues.
- EPA Certification
- Experience with inverter & communicating systems
- Light commercial experience is preferred
- Clean driving record to operate a company vehicle
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectation
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect repair, and conduct maintenance on air handlers, condensers, and compressors
- Build client relationships by providing outstanding service through strong communication and customer service skills
- Educate clients on their systems and maintenance requirements
- Identify opportunities for clients to improve their systems through product overview
- Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, and/or records
- Complete all tasks in accordance with quality and safety standards
- Experience using field software on tablet or similar applications is a plus
