We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Transport the client to the train station in Clearfield on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Support residents in participating in community activities, social events, and recreational programs to promote engagement and well-being.
- Maintain clean and safe living environments through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Follow individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals, ensuring all tasks align with each resident’s specific needs.
- Administer medications accurately under supervision, document medication administration as required by regulations such as HIPAA, and respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when needed.
Skills
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a caring attitude to foster trust and rapport with residents and team members alike.
Hours
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 7:30 - 9:00 AM (transporting client to the train station)
- Tuesday and Thursday: flexible hours, but needs to be 6 hours on each day
