Description:
Responsible for building pallets for loading draft, bulk service and on premise routes in an efficient and accurate manner.
This is a Monday-Friday position, shift begins at 2pm and ends when all products have been picked for the day. Pay is an hourly rate + pick commission.
First 30 days paid at an hourly rate of $16.50. After training period is over you will be moved over to $11.00 per hour + $0.075 per pick.
· Employees will be responsible for picking, packing and final inspection of customer orders.
- Repack damaged product according to A&B guidelines before end of each shift
- Build Hot shot/Dock orders when needed
- Wipe down and perform pallet jack safety inspection daily, fill-out and give checklist to supervisor
- Properly use the shrink wrap machine when necessary
- Perform housekeeping tasks assigned by shift supervision
- Attend all required company meetings
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
- Must obtain Pallet Jack training and certification
Requirements:
- Able to stand for up to 12 hours each day
- Must be able to walk, bend, lift, reach and stoop, and stand for various amounts of time during shift
- May be required to lift up to 150lbs, typically 15-25lbs
- Ability to follow instructions and accept direction from supervisors in a respectful and collaborative manner
- Ability to work with others cooperatively and cordially in a spirit of teamwork
- Ability to read and understand code dates and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have product knowledge and mathematical abilities to build pallets
