JLorraine Designs is a fast-growing, women-led luxury fashion brand. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, hands-on Fashion Commerce & Customer Experience Specialist to take full ownership of daily messaging, customer communication, and operational support.
This is not a desk-only role. This position is fast-paced, mobile, and hands-on, requiring someone who is comfortable moving between departments, juggling multiple priorities, and taking initiative without being micromanaged.

Role Overview
The Fashion Commerce & Customer Experience Specialist is responsible for managing all brand communication channels, supporting e-commerce operations, coordinating influencer and model outreach, and assisting with daily operational workflows.
This role supports the Founder and Operations Manager by ensuring customers feel taken care of, messages are handled promptly, and internal systems remain organized and efficient at a luxury brand standard.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Communication & Messaging (Primary Focus)
- Fully manage all customer messaging channels, including:
◦ Email
◦ Instagram, TikTok, and other social media DMs
◦ Website inquiries
- Respond to customer questions, concerns, returns, and exchanges promptly and professionally
- Maintain a luxury, brand-aligned tone in all communication
- Take ownership of follow-ups and resolution without reminders
- Identify recurring customer issues and flag patterns to improve workflows
E-Commerce & Order Support
- Monitor Shopify orders daily
- Update order statuses and verify tracking information
- Create and print shipping labels (USPS, FedEx)
- Assist with returns and exchanges using ReturnGo
- Flag delayed or problematic orders before they escalate
- Support product uploads, inventory updates, and collection launches as needed
Influencer & Model Coordination
- Reach out to influencers and models for collaborations and gifting
- Track outreach, responses, shipments, and deliverables
- Ensure correct products, sizes, and shipping details are sent
- Follow up to confirm content is posted on time
- Maintain organized influencer and model tracking sheets
Social Media Support
- Monitor DMs and comments for customer service needs and brand opportunities
- Flag high-value customers, influencers, or partnership leads
- Ensure all messaging aligns with the JLorraine brand voice
- Coordinate with content creators and internal team members when needed
Operational & Administrative Support
- Maintain organized digital systems including:
◦ Airtable
◦ Google Drive
◦ Trackers and inboxes
- Keep detailed records of orders, returns, influencer activity, and inventory notes
- Assist with tracking and restocking packing and warehouse supplies
- Support daily workflow between production, packing, and shipping teams
- Be available to assist across departments when needed
Work Style & Expectations
- This is a fast-paced, hands-on role
- You will be moving between departments and assisting where needed
- Must be comfortable being cross-trained in multiple areas
- Must take initiative and operate independently after training
- Must be adaptable during high-volume launches and peak seasons
- This role requires strong multitasking and time management skills
Qualifications
- Experience in fashion, e-commerce, retail, or customer service preferred
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfortable with Shopify, ReturnGo, email platforms, and social media
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Calm under pressure and solution-focused
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, growing brand environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
