Role Summary:
Responsible for various tasks related to shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling. Works collaboratively to ensure order fulfillment accuracy, inventory control, and maintain a high level of safety and quality.

Work as a team to maintain a quality level of order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and discrepancies
General Responsibilities:
-
Responsible for shipping, receiving and inventory control
-
Support material handling, maintaining supplies and finished goods levels in the fabrication department
-
Ensure accuracy of paperwork and shipments
-
Coordinate truckload and LTL pickups
-
Calculate LTL freight rates and determine best mode of transportation based on pricing and delivery times
-
Communicate with and provide support to Operations and Commercial groups
-
Understand and practice basic First in First Out (FIFO) procedures and perform cycle counts as needed

Maintain housekeeping standards

Maintain packaging and other supplies
-
May be expected to work outdoors in all-weather situation and assist other departments based on needs

Expected to work overtime when needed or required and willing to work the occasional weekend

Complete other assigned tasks by the Department Manager
Minimum Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
-
One year Shipping/Receiving experience with Inventory control, material handling and cycle counting experience
-
Competent computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems
-
High school diploma/GED
Preferred Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
-
Experience with SAP Business 1
-
Understanding of Bill of Material (BOM) requirements and processing
-
2 plus years of shipping/ receiving experience
