Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finish Technician to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer using hand tools and power tools.
- Apply powder coating, auto body paint, or industrial paint using airless spray guns or other application methods to achieve smooth, even finishes.
- Use precision measuring instruments and visual color comparison techniques to ensure color accuracy and finish quality.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, or other materials handling equipment safely to move products within the workspace.
- Follow strict safety protocols including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use such as respirators, respirator masks, and protective clothing during all finishing processes.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the finishing process to ensure adherence to industry standards in manufacturing and construction painting surface preparation.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and cleaning tools after use.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, machining tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong knowledge of powder coating processes, industrial painting, auto painting, and construction painting surface preparation.
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment safely following PPE guidelines.
- Familiarity with visual color comparison methods and the use of precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to finishing tasks.
- Experience with materials handling, assembly, auto body repair, and the use of respiratory protection devices such as respirators.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards in production.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to PPE use including respirators and protective clothing in an industrial setting.
