We are seeking a Fulfillment Associate in Newark, NJ to contribute to sustainable warehouse solutions. Fulfillment Associate Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick and pack customer orders using barcode scanning and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools safely and effectively.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper stacking and storage of inventory in designated warehouse areas.
- Accurately pull products from warehouse shelves
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and updating inventory management systems.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch by packaging products securely according to safety protocols and customer specifications.
- Pack and stage completed orders for delivery.
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including all SOPs and warehouse safety protocols.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by managing barcode scanning for logistics, verifying inbound/outbound shipments, and documenting discrepancies or damages.
- Perform tasks in cross-functional areas.
Fulfillment Associate Skills
- Experience in material handling is a plus
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, stocking, order picking, packing, loading & unloading.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking and packing processes.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and warehouse supervisors; prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in distribution center operations is useful, but not required
