A Fort Lauderdale-based textile company is looking for an energetic, creative, and talented Fashion & Sewing Designer for the quilting industry, with a strong appreciation for social media to help market our products to a global audience.
This is a full-time position for a visionary designer ready to make a long-term commitment and grow with a brand that celebrates individuality, artistry, and lifestyle-driven design.
We design fabrics that fit today’s modern lifestyle while adding a sophisticated touch.
Our audience is made up of women who love DIY sewing and want to bring their creative projects to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Design and sew fabric samples for photo shoots to showcase our fabric collections. Samples include quilts, home décor, accessories, and garments.
- Write clear, step-by-step instructions for the products you design.
- Assist in styling and production during photo shoots.
- Contribute to crafting fun and stylish DIY accessory tutorials.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and create mood boards with a team of fellow creatives.
- Research trends and develop inspiration boards to help customers envision how to use our textiles.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong sewing knowledge and experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, energetic attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with an awareness of deadlines and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Up-to-date with fashion and home décor trends to help develop products suited to our target audience.
