The Hilton Fort Wayne at the Grand Wayne Convention Center is hiring! We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and guest-focused team member to join our Front Office team in a full-time Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent role.
This position combines overnight audit responsibilities with front desk guest service duties and requires flexible availability for 3rd shift (overnight), including additional 2nd shift hours to reach full-time status.
Schedule Requirements
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and 2nd shift hours (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) as business needs require
- Schedule may vary week to week; no set or guaranteed shifts
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Ability to adapt to scheduling needs across Night Audit and Front Desk coverage
Key Responsibilities Night Audit Duties
- Audit, balance, and post room, food, and beverage charges accurately
- Ensure accuracy of financial transactions, adjustments, and tax postings
- Complete and reconcile daily reports, including deposits, over/short accounts, and audit summaries
- Prepare daily statistical, financial, and operational reports
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures
- Perform nightly system balancing and end-of-day closeout procedures
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and data entry tasks
- Ensure compliance with Hilton standards and accounting procedures
- Communicate effectively with management and incoming shifts regarding operational updates
Front Desk Duties
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service
- Process check-ins and check-outs according to Hilton standards
- Assign and block rooms, manage reservations, and handle cancellations
- Promote hotel services and upsell when appropriate
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, directions, and local attractions
- Assist with guest requests such as transportation, safety deposit boxes, and additional keys
- Answer and route phone calls professionally
Additional Responsibilities
- Protect guest and company information in compliance with privacy policies
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude with guests and team members
- Attend department meetings as required
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred
- Experience with Hilton systems (PEP or OnQ) is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
