Job Overview
As a bike technician in a small, fun, and cohesive team, the candidate will serve our customers with bike assembly, bike set-up, tune-ups, along with maintenance and repairs so each bike is fit for its purpose and safe for its designated use. You will also provide product knowledge and perform sales transactions, delivering exceptional customer experience while genuinely connecting with our customers.
Responsibilities
- Inner tube / Tire install & tubeless setup
- Drivetrain installation & adjustments
- Wheel truing
- Rim brake service / Hydraulic brake bleed and service
- Suspension maintenance and repair
- General safety checks & tune ups (including e-bikes)
- New bike builds
- Customer service / Sales
- Shop floor and sales floor cleanliness
Qualifications
- Successful candidates must be passionate about bicycles, dedicated to team success, and possess the willingness to listen and learn from team members and customers.
- One year experience as a bike mechanic, with good understanding of various types of bicycles, including e-bikes.
- Proficiency in mechanical terms and the willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with hand tools, diagnostic tools, and other equipment used in bike maintenance.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in retail sales is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during bike repairs and maintenance tasks.
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
