Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant
Part Time | Flexible Schedule | Approximately 2 Hours Per Week

We're seeking a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality medical care at the Cleveland County Jail. This flexible opportunity is ideal for an experienced provider looking to supplement their practice while making a meaningful difference in an underserved patient population.

Conduct routine medical evaluations and address acute healthcare concerns

Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients within your scope of practice

Provide chronic disease management and appropriate follow-up care

Review nursing assessments, laboratory results, and diagnostic findings

Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with facility protocols and state regulations

Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity and quality of patient care

Provide clinical guidance and support to the onsite healthcare team

Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation

Promote quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with correctional healthcare standards

Current, unrestricted North Carolina license as a Physician (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant

Current DEA registration (if applicable to licensure)

Active BLS certification

Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Correctional, emergency, family practice, or primary care experience is preferred but not required
