Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dental team, on
Tuesdays from 7AM to 2 PM. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing dental cleanings, assessments, and education while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental hygiene procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help promote optimal oral health and foster lasting relationships with our patient community. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and calculus buildup
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs
- Take high-quality dental x-rays (X-ray) while adhering to infection prevention protocols and maintaining equipment properly
- Manage infection control procedures by following aseptic techniques and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare standards
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures
- Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and electronic health record management
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding relevant to dental care
- Hands-on experience with dental equipment, dental x-ray machine
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics, providing clear instructions and patient education
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including aseptic technique and infection prevention management

Pay: $39.00 - $42.00 per hour
