POSITION:
BAND PARAEDUCATOR (Music Assistant for Band)
LOCATION:
Baldwin Middle School, Guilford, Connecticut
DESCRIPTION:
Duties will include assisting band teacher with large and small group instruction, remediation for students, modifying music for students, tuning instruments, minor band instrument repair and maintenance, assisting with record keeping for instrument inventory, monitoring school instruments to keep them in good playing order, assisting with setup for classes, and copying and distribution of music and materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of woodwind, brass, and percussion technique and pedagogy, preferred
Knowledge of music theory, preferred
Experience working with children, preferred
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Building Administration
SALARY:
per union agreement
WORKING PERIOD:
School year – 10 months
STARTING DATE:
September 2, 2026
