POSITION OBJECTIVES: To improve student outcomes in literacy by providing literacy intervention, supporting universal literacy instruction, and providing leadership in the area of literacy curriculum, instruction, and assessment and Mutli-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following; other duties may be assigned.

Design and deliver targeted, intensive literacy interventions aligned to student needs, classroom instruction, and program goals.

Support school-wide implementation of evidence-based reading and writing practices, including assessment, progress monitoring, and data-informed decision making.

Differentiate, adapt, and organize curriculum to provide remedial, preventive, and enrichment support for eligible students.

Analyze and communicate student progress data with teachers, families, and relevant staff to inform instruction, intervention, and next steps.

Model effective literacy instruction through demonstration lessons, co-teaching, and embedded coaching across content areas.

Lead and support professional learning and job-embedded coaching focused on UDL, differentiated instruction, and formative assessment, grounded in equity, access, and rigorous, relevant curriculum.

Participate in MTSS processes and collaborative structures (e.g., data-based referrals, eligibility determination, program planning, team meetings, committees, and professional learning events).

Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and school and district administrators to coordinate intervention systems, schedules, and instructional strategies.

Engage families as partners in learning through regular, accessible communication, conferences, and equitable access to literacy resources.

Stay current with literacy research and best practices and pursue professional learning aligned to school and district priorities.
