Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Aggregate Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment used in aggregate production, quarry operations, and construction environments. This includes crushers, conveyors, loaders, haul trucks, screening equipment, and related machinery. The role ensures safe, reliable operation of equipment to keep production running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues on aggregate and construction equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive service on crushers, screens, conveyors, loaders, excavators, and haul trucks.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns in the field or plant to minimize downtime.
- Repair or replace components such as bearings, belts, rollers, pumps, hoses, cylinders, and engines.
- Conduct welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment repairs or modifications.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage logs.
- Collaborate with plant operators, supervisors, and production teams to prioritize repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure equipment is operating within compliance standards.
Skills
- Experience as a heavy equipment technician, diesel mechanic, or construction equipment mechanic.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic codes.
- Welding and fabrication skills (MIG, stick, cutting torch) preferred.
- Comfortable working in quarry, plant, or outdoor environments with dust, noise, and varying weather.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is REQUIRED.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on‑call shifts during peak production.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
