KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a growing organization in the Woburn area to identify a Senior Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys having broad exposure across the finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will play a key role in the monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and process improvement initiatives while gaining direct exposure to executive leadership.
- Lead key components of the monthly close process, including financial statements, supporting schedules, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Compile and analyze financial data and prepare management and executive reporting
- Assist with annual budgeting, external audits, and company reporting requirements
- Manage accounts payable, customer receipts, monthly and quarterly invoicing, and revenue reporting
- Process bi-monthly payroll through ADP Workforce Now
- Partner directly with the CFO on special projects, workflow improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Provide backup and accounting support across the broader finance team
- Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong experience with monthly close and account reconciliations
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookups
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Self-starter who can work independently while partnering effectively across the organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
