Our firm is accepting resumes for the position of Personal Injury and pre-litigation Paralegal. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing a personal injury caseload of 40-50 pre-litigation personal injury matters, guardian probate matters, client contact, drafting and filing pleadings, obtaining Medicare and other lien information and other components of processing claims and complete management of cases in pre-litigation. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, able to work in a stressful environment, extremely organized to meet court deadlines, and have good communication skills. Prefer experience in personal injury law or probate guardianship late. Proficient computer skills are also required to include Excel and Word.
Job Type: Full-time - Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain case files from intake through trial and resolution
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas and other documents
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert consultations
- Obtain, review, summarize, and organize medical records, billing records, and other case-related documentation
- Track litigation deadlines and ensure timely filings and case progression
- Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel
- Review settlement demand packages and assist with case valuation documentation
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to drive case success
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, with litigation experience strongly preferred
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases independently and prioritize competing deadlines
- Experience drafting litigation documents and coordinating discovery
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
