Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and floral design products
- Assist customers with product selection, ensuring they find the right tools, plants, or supplies for their needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, handle cash handling duties, and manage transactions accurately
- Stock shelves and organize displays to ensure attractive merchandising and easy access to products
- Maintain knowledge of plant identification, horticulture techniques, and outdoor work practices to educate customers effectively
- Support e-commerce initiatives by assisting with online orders and coordinating in-store pickups when needed
- Provide excellent customer service through active communication skills over the phone or in person, addressing questions promptly and professionally
Skills
- Strong knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, and floral design techniques
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, retail math, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Proven organizational skills for stocking, merchandising, and inventory management
- Outgoing personality with a passion for outdoor work experience and plant identification
- Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online order fulfillment processes
