This position is a part of our Young Professionals Program(YPP) for Coesia in North America!
Coesia's YPP program is a two-year structured program for individuals with 18 months of professional experience or less, including recent graduates, who have demonstrated strong potential through academic achievements and early work experience.
You’ll begin in a full-time Staff Accountant role at Coesia, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to key business functions. In the second year, you’ll participate in a job rotation to broaden your exposure across different areas of the organization.
The program concludes with a visit to Coesia’s global headquarters in Bologna, Italy, where you’ll connect with other YPP participants and engage in collaborative learning.
While the YPP provides a structured two-year development path, this role is intended to be a long-term position within Coesia, with opportunities for continued growth and advancement.
About the Role
The Staff Accountant will manage and provide oversight of Coesia North American financial activities including accounting and tax records, actual monthly closings, statutory and tax filings, and account reconciliation. This position will report to the Controller Manager in our facility in Crescent Springs, KY location and functionally to our R.A Jones Finance Manager.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Support the monthly close process, ensuring timely completion of accounting activities in coordination with Coesia North America legal entities and cross-functional teams.
- Assist in performing accounting activities for Coesia North America legal entities while contributing to the adoption of consistent accounting practices and procedures.
- Support general accounting activities, including general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations, journal entry preparation and review, and maintenance of accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with account reconciliation activities and help ensure compliance with established reconciliation processes and controls.
- Support external auditors during year-end audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and other information as requested.
- Assist internal audit activities and provide supporting documentation when required.
- Contribute to the effective use of SAP and other digital finance tools to support accounting operations and continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting, Controlling, FP&A, and other business functions to support reporting and financial analysis activities.
- Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of management reports, ad hoc analyses, and business presentations.
- Participate in projects focused on process optimization, automation, and digital transformation within the Finance organization.
Explore opportunities to leverage data analytics, business intelligence tools, and emerging technologies to improve financial processes and decision-making.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 0-2 years of accounting, finance, internship, or co-op experience; manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong aptitude for learning new systems and technologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred but not required.
- Interest in data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, or similar platforms.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and digital solutions, with a willingness to apply them to improve processes and generate insights.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, and continuous-learning mindset with a desire to grow within an international organization.

The ideal candidate has an interest in data visualization, automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and digital tools that support business decision-making. Exposure to platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, Copilot, or similar technologies is considered a plus.
