Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, floors, and storage areas
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as basic chopping or assembling ingredients when needed
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas remain tidy and inviting
- Handle food handling responsibilities in compliance with safety standards to ensure proper hygiene and sanitation
- Aid in catering and banquet setups by providing clean dishware and assisting with plate assembly when required
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment for staff and guests
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Experience with food preparation or catering environments is a plus
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or commercial sinks is advantageous
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards ensures proper hygiene practices
- Prior banquet or hotel experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; willingness to develop culinary skills is appreciated
