The Team Leader leads daily production operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards. This role supervises team members, enforces procedures, coordinates with cross-functional teams, and drives accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement within their work environment.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Demonstrated proven leadership capability, including successful completion of a Temporary
Team Lead assignment or equivalent role for a minimum of two (2) months.
- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the processes, skills, and requirements within the respective backshop areas.
- Exhibits strong planning and organizational skills to effectively manage and prioritize work assignments.
- Demonstrates the ability and initiative to analyze operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Capable of performing physical job requirements, including walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer literacy with experience in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Must possess good working knowledge of the skills required in shops under his/her leadership.
- Ability and willingness to analyze and resolve work problems.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration regulations, as applicable

- Involves exposure to chemicals and dust levels set by OSHA standards
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Plan, assign, train, and lead team members to ensure backshop operations are completed on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with production requirements.
- Ensure team adherence to all company policies, procedures, and departmental standards.
- Administer employee time and attendance, including vacation, earned time off, and sick leave.
- Foster a positive team environment by maintaining open, clear, and consistent communication.
- Maintain overall responsibility for the team’s work area, ensuring it is organized, professional, and compliant with DFJ and OSHA safety standards.
- Manage shop operations and control expenses to meet or exceed established budget targets.
- Ensure accurate charging of labor hours and expenses to the appropriate cost centers or work orders.
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of data entry and reporting, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- Ensure all aircraft components are manufactured in accordance with Planning, Engineering, and Quality specifications, as well as FAA and company standards.
- Coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments to ensure timely support and alignment with production schedules.
- Communicate accurate and timely updates regarding shop performance, turnover, and any operational issues.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and development, plan, and implement strategies to enhance processes, productivity, and product quality.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position because it includes as part of the essential job duties operating equipment and tools on a routine basis. Additionally, the duties of this position concern the service and completion of aircraft, and overall airworthiness of the aircraft. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety of this employee and others, the employee must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while performing safety activities.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The compensation for this position typically falls $70,000 and $90,000 annually. This position is eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for shift differential or relocation assistance. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
