Responsibilities
- Design and program full PLC-based control systems for custom automated conveying equipment.
- Develop intuitive HMI interfaces (FactoryTalk View) and configure VFD platforms (PowerFlex).
- Create comprehensive electrical schematic packages, including BOMs and component selection.
- Skilled in one or more industry stanadard programming platforms such as: SCADA, Siemens WIN CC, Ignition, Rockwell Factory Talk View / Rockwell Automation (CompactLogix/ControlLogix)
- Skilled with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Master reusable code blocks and control templates to improve department-wide efficiency.
- Lead internal system commissioning and troubleshooting during the machine development cycle.
- Ensure all designs meet NEC and UL 508A standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automation engineering or related field
- 1-5 years experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
- Electrical experience including electrical equipment repair and electrical work in commercial or industrial settings.
- Advanced proficiency in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
