The Academy of Our Lady of Guam is a fully accredited college-preparatory Catholic high school for young women. The school’s curriculum provides complete development for young women. Centrally located in the capital of Hagatna, Guam, the environment of the Academy surrounds itself with governmental, religious, and business communities.
The responsibilities of the teacher include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing lesson plans in the assigned content area to teach required learning objectives
- Assigning and grading projects, assignments, and tests
- Assessing students’ skills and knowledge regularly
- Creating and enforcing classroom rules, policies, and procedures
- Supervising students and addressing behavior issues as needed
- Helping individual students who are behind or struggling to learn the content
- Collaborating with other High School Teachers to develop lesson plans and improve the learning process
- Communicating with students and parents about student progress
For the position of Psychology Teacher:
- College degree required.
- Certification and/or teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Pay will be commensurate with educational background and experience.
- Current Police and Court clearances are required upon employment.
- Upon hiring, candidates must complete Virtus training required by the Archdiocese of Agana.
