Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Sit Down Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This position is vital for efficient materials handling, order fulfillment, and inventory management within our distribution center. The successful candidate will operate sit-down forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport goods safely and accurately. Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklifts and clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials efficiently.
- Safely handle heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Manage order picking processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and <PERSON> pick techniques to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance with the equipment repair team.
- Assist with warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating various types of heavy equipment including sit-down forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or identify when professional maintenance is needed.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, weight measurements, and load calculations.
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or shipping & receiving environments preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
