Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for promoting our products, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the store is well-maintained and inviting.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries.
- Effectively communicating available products and services, enhancing customer understanding and engagement.
- Utilize upselling techniques to encourage additional purchases, contributing to overall sales goals.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently, processing transactions accurately and handling cash register duties.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product offerings to effectively communicate with customers.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math applications.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products and services offered in-store.
- Capable of safely and effectively lifting upwards of 50lbs.
