SunNest Health Care Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Companion/Homemaker for a contract (PRN/1099) position providing in-home support and companionship across Pasco and Pinellas Counties, FL. In this role, you'll help patients maintain independence and quality of life through companionship, light household support, and assistance with daily routines. This is a flexible, independent-contractor opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and values schedule flexibility.
Duties
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients in their homes
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Support patients with errands, transportation to appointments, and light shopping as needed
- Engage patients in conversation, hobbies, and activities to promote wellbeing
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or home environment to the care team
- Assist with medication reminders (non-administration) as appropriate
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
- Document visits accurately and timely in accordance with agency standards
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Home health or caregiving experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with automobile insurance
- Compassionate, patient demeanor with strong communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in patients' homes
- Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening required
