Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation in an institutional setting and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals that meet dietary needs while ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen.
- Assist in menu planning, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Monitor food inventory
- Maintain equipment and kitchen tools, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
Requirements
- Experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen setting; institutional kitchen experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. ServSafe preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary needs and menu planning is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Schedule
Weekend Shifts: Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 2 PM
