POSITION SUMMARY:
Works closely with Lenders during new deal origination, including crafting structure, and working with applicants to deliver a complete application package for underwriting. Completes comprehensive credit underwriting and analyses for new and existing commercial loans. Participates in all aspects of property appraisals and evaluations, including environmental due diligence. Monitors and tracks portfolio including covenant measurement, annual reviews, borrowing bases, and financial statement exceptions. Conducts annual line of credit reviews and completes special projects and reports.

· Ensures timely preparation of comprehensive written credit analysis for new commercial loans and for changes to existing commercial loans that include analysis of financial, managerial, market, collateral, and other relevant loan data.
· Reviews potential loan transactions, provides a risk summarization, which may include analysis of financial, managerial, market, collateral, and other relevant loan data, and provides suggested questions, structure, and additional information as needed.
· Regularly reviews and updates loan files; reviews asset-based loans and loan agreement compliance; monitors documentation and financial statement exceptions. Suggests and implements strategies and action plans for classified loans.
· Effectively and courteously provides assistance to new and existing Bank clients including file maintenance and procuring updated information; resolves commercial loan issues with accountants and attorneys; provides technical advice to commercial lenders; responds to and performs credit inquiries and commercial references.
· Assists Senior Management in preparation for internal audits and regulatory exams; maintains knowledge of available loan enhancements and associated requirements.
· Timely completion of assigned training.
· Performs all duties as assigned by the Director of Credit Administration for which the position is qualified.
· Other duties as appropriately assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance, or equivalent experience
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Loan Origination Systems.
· Strong interpersonal skills and independent judgment abilities.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, operate a computer keyboard and mouse, reach at or below shoulder level, lift to 25 lbs., and perform light pushing/pulling. Close vision is required for computer work. The work environment is moderately noisy and may require occasional standing or walking between workstations.
