The Patient Services Representative is responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling optical appointments, collecting pertinent information, sending letters, and other duties necessary to support our patients.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greets/checks in optical patients and vendors

Matches optical invoices with routes

Updates statuses in NextGen Optical when jobs are inspected

Prints the next day’s appointments and pulls all the jobs to be delivered

Calls the lab to get ETAs

Mails out letters to patients
-
Shreds all patient information at the end of the day

Makes sure all voicemails are taken care of by the end of the day
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday FT and may include occasional Saturday half-days (shift start times could range from 7:45-8:30am)

Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Medical office practices and medical terminology (preferably optics)

Exceptional phone etiquette, customer service, and communication skills

Prioritization and time management skills
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED
-
Six-months to one-year related experience and/or technical school training
