Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable CDL Driver to join our team! As a CDL Driver, you will be the vital link in asphault paving, hauling materials efficiently and safely across designated routes. Duties
- Operate dump trucks with manual transmissions, ensuring smooth and safe driving across various routes
- Load and unload materials from quarries
- Must have paving operations experience
- Safely load cargo onto trucks, securing loads properly to prevent shifting during transit
- Drive route-specific deliveries while adhering to schedules and traffic regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL license (Class A preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently
- Prior experience driving specialized trucks such as dump trucks or end dumps is highly desirable
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures dealing with paving operations and aggregates
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations and cargo securement
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
