Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher to join the team at Florence School District Three. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in Spanish to students at various levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting an appreciation for the Spanish language and culture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student success, utilize innovative teaching strategies, and engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Teach Spanish language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, using a variety of instructional methods and materials.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
- Utilize technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction and engage students.
- Foster an appreciation for Hispanic culture through the integration of cultural lessons and activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in language instruction.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to support school-wide initiatives and enhance the overall educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Spanish for the appropriate grade level.
- Strong proficiency in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
- Previous teaching experience in a K-12 setting preferred.
- Knowledge of effective language teaching methodologies and assessment practices.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
