Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic pediatric healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide essential support in delivering speech therapy services across various settings, including schools, clinics, and acute care environments. Duties
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for children and students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Support therapy sessions by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and engaging with clients to encourage participation
- Collect data on client progress and document therapy activities accurately
- Observe and monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing feedback under supervision to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to facilitate consistent communication strategies across environments
- Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Participate in early intervention programs, providing support for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or speech challenges
Qualifications
- Applicants should have completed the 100 clinical hours needed for SLPA certification
- Must hold a current license for Speech Therapy Assistants License in Washington. If out of state must be willing to obtain a Washington License
- Prior experience working with children or students in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to speech therapy
- Familiarity with acute care environments and school-based settings enhances effectiveness in diverse roles
- Strong understanding of speech therapy techniques and intervention strategies for pediatrics
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children with special needs
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Ideal candidates to have at least 6 months of experience in pediatrics

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
