JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Aerial Telecom Lineman to join our team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing aerial telecommunications line installation, maintenance, and repair projects. You will lead a crew of linemen, ensuring safety standards, quality control, and efficient project execution. Your expertise in working with high-voltage systems, telecom infrastructure, and managing on-site operations will be essential to the role. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and perform day-to-day activities of an aerial construction crew
- Uphold all safety standards and maintain a safe worksite
- Execute and manage all aspects of aerial telecommunications construction, including:
- Make ready work
- Strand placement
- Cable placement
- Guying
- Splicing
- Ensure compliance with NESC code, local regulations, and pole owner requirements
- Interpret construction prints and plans accurately
- Safely operate aerial bucket trucks, diggers, and related equipment
Key Requirements
- Safety: Cutting corners is never an option

QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience with an aerial construction crew
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Splicing experience
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage and direct a construction crew effectively
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License with clean MVR
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficient in operating equipment, including aerial bucket trucks and lashing equipment
- Committed to working safely with or without supervision
CERTIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Field-based role with frequent bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and standing for extended periods
- Exposure to inclement weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind)
- Work at heights and near moving mechanical parts
- Risk of electrical shock and high noise levels—mitigated through proper PPE, pre-planning, and job-site safety analysis
