Join our dynamic grocery team as a Grocery Store Associate! Whether assisting with product displays, ringing up sales at the POS (Point of Sale) system, or stocking shelves, you’ll play a vital part in delivering an outstanding retail experience. This position offers a chance to develop your retail skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with locating products throughout the store
- Operate the POS system efficiently for cashiering and handle cash handling responsibilities accurately
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure attractive and accessible displays
- Maintain proper stock levels through merchandising and inventory management
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assist with phone etiquette by answering inquiries professionally and directing calls appropriately
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred, especially supervising experience or leadership roles
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions, retail math for inventory counts, and cash handling accuracy
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Willingness to engage in product demos, upselling, and merchandising activities
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
We are looking for someone who can be trained throughout the store and work where ever needed.
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
