Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required

- AWHONN / Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
- Active Maryland RN license or multistate compact RN license required
- Ability to provide comprehensive care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum
Job Details:

- Shift Hours = 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Assignment Length = 13 Weeks (05/17/2026 – 08/15/2026)
- Schedule = 36 hours per week
- Weekends = Every other weekend required

Description of job:
SnapCare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to support the L&D unit at Holy Cross Hospital – Silver Spring in Silver Spring, MD. This night‑shift role requires a skilled clinician capable of managing labor, delivery, and postpartum care in a dynamic hospital environment.
The RN will collaborate closely with obstetric providers and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, evidence‑based, and patient‑centered care. Flexibility to work every other weekend and the July 4th holiday is required due to unit coverage needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- AWHONN / Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
- Active Maryland or compact RN license
- Strong knowledge of labor management, fetal monitoring, and maternal/newborn care
- Excellent communication, critical‑thinking, and patient advocacy skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients
- Interpret and respond to fetal monitoring tracings
- Assist with vaginal and operative deliveries as needed
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Educate patients and families throughout the birthing process
- Document care accurately and in real time
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiology, and neonatal teams
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to Labor & Delivery protocols
