Purpose of Position:
Under the direction of a radiologist and supervision of the Director of Radiology, performs a variety of ultrasound diagnostic procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of nonionizing high frequency ultrasound waves for the diagnosis of pathology.
Description:
- Practices according to entity mandatory requirements.
- Practices according to department expectations.
- Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities.
- Utilizes internal and external resources appropriately.
- Documents according to entity/department guidelines.
- Utilizes techniques of time management effectively.
- Sets up, adjusts and operates medical equipment and instruments.
- Performs testing ordered by patient’s physician.
- Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents, adults, older adults.
- Performs ultrasound procedures and follows exam protocols.
- Utilizes and maintains equipment in expert manner.
- Performs administrative and other tasks as requested.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or certificate program.
- Abdom/OB, or Echo RDMS, or eligible for registration, required.
- Current BLS.
Schedule Details:
48PP (24 Hours Per Week), Rotating Days 8a-4p, Occasional Weekends, Rotating Holidays
