Job description
Darling Pediatric Therapy is a therapist-owned pediatric therapy practice in Naperville, IL. We provide speech, occupational, and feeding therapy to children and families in our community.
We are a small team, and that is intentional. Our therapists work closely together, know each other's patients, and have the opportunity to really get to know the families they work with. We care about providing thoughtful therapy without losing sight of the child behind the goals.
About the position
We are looking for a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team for approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, with set afternoon and early evening hours (roughly 2:00pm to 7:00pm). Hours are consistent week to week and do not require flexibility outside this window, so this role fits well alongside another job, school, or other daytime commitments.
We currently have families waiting for after-school OT services, so you will have an established caseload rather than needing to build one from the ground up.
This would be a good fit for an OT who wants a smaller caseload, a predictable and self-contained schedule, and the ability to build ongoing relationships with the children and families they serve.
What you will do
You will provide individual occupational therapy services to pediatric clients with a variety of skills and diagnoses. This may include sensory processing differences, fine motor skills, developmental skills, emotional regulation, and activities of daily living.
You will also complete evaluations, develop treatment plans, communicate with parents and caregivers, and keep documentation up to date.
Because we are a small practice, collaboration happens naturally. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our other OTs and SLPs and ask questions or collaborate on care when you need another perspective.
What we are looking for
- An active Illinois OT license is required.
- Pediatric experience is preferred, but we are open to new graduates with strong pediatric fieldwork experience.
What we offer
- $50 to $60 per hour
- 10 to 15 hours per week with an established caseload
- Set afternoon and early evening hours, roughly 2:00pm to 7:00pm
- Private treatment rooms and a sensory gym
- A small, supportive team of OTs and SLPs
- Mentorship and opportunities for professional development
- Paid time off
If you are looking for a part-time pediatric OT position with a predictable, self-contained schedule where you can get to know your patients and families and work with a small team, we would love to hear from you.
