Duties
- Safely operate a box truck with a Class E driver’s license to deliver goods to various locations efficiently and on schedule
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques while adhering to safety standards
- Plan and follow optimal delivery routes, adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions
- Provide outstanding customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups
- Verify delivery accuracy, complete necessary paperwork, and obtain signatures upon receipt of goods
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management, stock organization, and preparing shipments for delivery
Skills
- Valid Class E driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during load & unload operations
- Excellent navigation skills with knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving, and vehicle operation
