Position Summary:
The Nighttime Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s laundry operations during the night shift, ensuring all guest linens, towels, and staff uniforms are clean, pressed, and properly stocked. This role supports the housekeeping department by maintaining a steady supply of clean linens and ensuring laundry equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, and process dirty linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to safety and operating procedures.
- Fold, press, and organize clean linens and stock housekeeping carts and storage areas.
- Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry work area.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies (detergent, softeners, etc.) and report low stock.
- Assist housekeeping with linen delivery and distribution as needed.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and fire regulations while on duty.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or hotel environment a plus.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight hours.
Work Schedule:
- Night shift, including weekends and holidays as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
