Weekly Gross Pay: $2,800.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $800.00

Genie Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced RN – OPERATING ROOM. to fill an opening in Albany, NY for $70.00/hr. (Taxed+ nontaxed)
Requirements of the RN OPERATING ROOM:
● Must have a valid state NY License or Compact license.
● Must have strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience
● Must have AHA BLS.
● Must have 2+ years of RN OPERATING ROOM.

Responsibilities of the RN OPERATING ROOM.:
- Shift: 10-hours days
- Shift details: 7.00 AM to 5.30 PM
- 40 hours/week. (4*10)
- 13-week assignment
- Provide comprehensive preoperative assessments, ensuring patients are prepared physically and emotionally for surgery.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by maintaining sterile techniques and managing surgical instruments.
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout operative procedures, responding promptly to any changes.
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and sedation, following strict protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure all operating room equipment is sterile, functional, and properly maintained according to aseptic techniques.
- Document all nursing interventions accurately within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, discharge instructions, and post-operative follow-up.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Proven operating room experience with proficiency in OR procedures, sterile processing, suturing, and airway management.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation.
- Experience working in diverse surgical environments including Level I Trauma Centers or tertiary hospitals preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Critical care experience in ICU or PACU settings is highly desirable for managing complex cases such as trauma or cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to respond swiftly during acute pain management, trauma medicine, or emergency situations.
