Member Duties : This Changemaking Internships VISTA position will help Miami Dade College (MDC) develop an innovative pilot program that provides paid opportunities for low-income MDC students to earn money, gain real-world experience, and make a difference in their communities at the same time. Designed for Pell-eligible students, the program places college students as interns with local nonprofit organizations working to address poverty and social challenges across South Florida. The VISTA selected for this position will help develop, implement, iterate, and create a long term sustainability plan for this exciting program. Responsibilities for this position include supporting the development of training modules, learning goals, and growth milestones; creating and iterating evaluation infrastructure for the program; and enhancing community partnerships for internship placement.
