Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and improve mobility
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand specific concerns, medical history, and treatment goals
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to tailor treatments effectively
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient progress, and treatment plans in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care when necessary
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all clients during each session
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist (LMT) with current credentials
- Proven experience in patient service with strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with advanced massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop customized treatment plans
- Prior experience in med spa or occupational health settings is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude focused on patient care and well-being
