Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely in accordance with established safety protocols and handling procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to ensure optimal cleanliness.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain sanitation standards in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas through proper cleaning and disinfection procedures.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or repairing fixtures as needed.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning activities and chemical handling.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments with strong custodial skills.
- Knowledge of janitorial equipment operation including floor buffers and cleaning machinery.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety protocol guidelines.
- Physical strength for manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy objects or moving furniture safely.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and industrial cleaning procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning while maintaining efficiency.
