This position is for a criminal defense attorney. The candidate should be a self-starter and highly capable of self-management and direction. This position offers the opportunity to take lead in cases in both General Sessions and Circuit Court. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in litigation and a passion for advocating for clients.

Duties:
- Advocate for clients in all phases of criminal cases, including hearings and trials.
- Conduct thorough legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of criminal law statutes and case law
- Work in collaboration with paralegals and support staff to manage cases efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
- Active license to practice law in the state of Tennessee
- Ability to self-regulate and seek guidance when needed
- Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, with preference given to candidates with prior exposure to criminal law, especially circuit court matters
- Proven ability to manage a full caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong oral advocacy and legal writing abilities
- Commitment to the zealous defense of clients we serve
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Admission to the Tennessee Bar in good standing
Skills:
- Experience with Clio case management software preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Collaborative mindset with a solution-focused approach
