With five studio locations throughout Connecticut, The Giggling Pig offers an established, awards winning arts program for children 2-14. Our program incorporates art classes, parties, and camps with the philosophy of The Giggling Pig children’s book series, which emphasizes kindness, compassion, friendship, and the magical possibility of creative play.
Studio Art Instructor Responsibilities
- Prepare and teach to established curriculum
- Provide a structured, positive environment that encourages a love of art and encourages students to think critically
- Communicate clearly and in a manner consistent with the brand philosophy
- Create content quickly and in a manner that allows flexibility for diverse student backgrounds and learning styles
- Interact with students and families in a manner that is kind, child focused, and creates meaningful relationships within the studio environment
- Maintain an organized and clean studio environment
- Set-up (& clean-up!) for lessons, camps, parties
- Process class/event registration and point-of-sale transactions as needed
- Assist with creating social media content, including process photos of lessons, parties, etc.
Availability
- Wednesday-Friday 2-6 or 4-6
- Weekends 9-11 +parties
- Must be available at least 1 weekend day
Studio Art Instructor Experience 1+ years art education preferred (but not required)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.94 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6.0 – 20.0 per week
