LPL Financial is seeking a motivated and technology-driven Platform Engineering Intern to help build, automate, and enhance the enterprise platforms that power our advisor-facing applications, data systems, and internal technology services.
This role offers hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, and operational excellence practices that enable secure, scalable, and reliable solutions across the organization. This role will work alongside experienced engineers to support cloud environments, improve developer productivity, and contribute to the resiliency and performance of enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate is analytical, and eager to learn how cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform services come together to deliver exceptional experiences for both advisors and internal users.
Contribute to security, governance, risk, and compliance initiatives across cloud and infrastructure ecosystems.
Document platform architectures, technical workflows, operational procedures, and engineering standards.

Systems Thinking – Understand how applications, infrastructure, data, and AI-enabled services work together to deliver business value.
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and container technologies (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
Basic programming or scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Java, or similar languages.
Interest in Generative AI technologies, AI-assisted development tools, or intelligent automation solutions through coursework, projects, or certifications
Summer Internship Schedule:

Full - time position for 10 weeks in the summer of 2027; Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week during business operating hours.

Hourly Rate:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
The hourly amount is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
