Fast paced trucking company seeking full-time diesel mechanic.
Perform preventative and routine maintenance and repairs on diesel/heavy equipment & trucks including: Skid steers, , mini-excavators, back hoes, forklifts, tractor trucks, dump trucks, trailers, bins, and crew trucks.
(Caterpillar, Peterbilt, Mack, Volvo, Kenworth, Western Star, etc.)
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical defects
Conduct safety inspections of equipment and maintain maintenance records
Operate equipment as needed
Perform duties in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain work area appearance and safety
Work may consist of day shift, with some overtime, weekend and holiday work during busy production times
Perform all job duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
Qualifications: Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in the following heavy truck or automotive systems: suspension and steering, general engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train, and diesel emissions. Ability to use diagnostic computer scope equipment
Must be authorized to work in the United States and have a valid driver's license (commercial driver's license preferred, not required)
ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8)
Experience: Minimum 3-years of experience as a mechanic working on heavy duty trucks
