Exokinetics is a veteran-led mobility technology company in West Chester, PA, and the maker of the Zeen®, a patented motor-free mobility device that helps people rise from sitting to standing and walk upright with dramatically reduced fall risk. The Zeen fills the gap between a walker and a wheelchair, and it was named one of TIME's Best Inventions. Our customers include older adults, people living with conditions like MS, Parkinson's, and stroke, family caregivers, and veterans served through the VA.
We are looking for an Internal Sales Specialist to join our three-person sales team. This is not a high-pressure sales job. It is a consultative, education-first role for someone with a good heart who enjoys helping people and their families make a meaningful decision about their mobility and independence. Most of our leads come to us through social media and our website. Your job is to be knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and genuinely helpful, and to guide the right customers to a confident purchase.
Specific Duties Include:
- Responding to inbound customer inquiries, answering questions, and nurturing interest (CRM, website chat, e-mail, phone and text interactions)
- Performing in-person or virtual Zeen demonstrations and training information sessions
- Assistance with marketing activities (planning, setup and attendance of demos / tradeshow events)
- Entry and management of Hubspot (CRM) customer information
- Zeen order processing (customer data entry, invoicing and inter-team communication)
- Customer support and follow-up activities to include: shipment tracking, scheduling and troubleshooting.
- Close interaction with all departments of the company (sales, marketing, production, and engineering)
Requirements / Desired Skills:
- Consumer product / medical device B2C sales experience
- PC computer literate (required)
- MS Office suite of products: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Hubspot or similar CRM program experience (not required, but highly desired)
- Ability to lift 40 lbs (Zeen)
- Able to commute to West Chester, PA office (required)
- Willingness for occasional travel
Desirable Traits:
- Well organized / detail oriented (digital files and printed documents)
- Can follow defined processes for recording customer interactions, sales processes, returns and refund requests
- Excellent communication and personal skills (especially with the elderly and disabled communities)
- Basic mechanical understanding – that they can help troubleshoot Zeen customers
- Self-starter personality and driven to complete tasks
- Helpful personality – someone who likes to interact and help people, empathetic and compassionate to people with disabilities.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Spanish proficiency (not required, but a nice-to-have). The Zeen is available throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, and we are growing our outreach to Spanish-speaking customers and families.
