The Payrate Information:
Overall Weekly Pay Rate: $2,752.75
Weekly Stipend: $1,632.75
W2 Hourly Pay Rate: $28
Requirements:
- ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (RT(T)) – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist – Required
Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering safe and accurate radiation treatments while ensuring compliance with established treatment protocols. This role includes performing equipment quality assurance, educating patients and families, coordinating treatment planning with the oncology team, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily warm-up procedures and quality assurance checks on the treatment machine and CT simulator.
- Educate patients and their families about radiation therapy procedures, addressing questions and easing concerns throughout the treatment process.
- Communicate accurate patient information and treatment data to radiation oncologists, physicists, and fellow therapists to support treatment planning and dose calculations.
- Follow established radiation therapy protocols to ensure safe, consistent, and effective patient care.
- Verify that all treatment plans, dose calculations, laboratory and imaging results, physician dictations, and related documentation are reviewed and approved by the Radiation Oncologist before treatment.
